Anil Gandhi, Ph D, Founder and President
Dr. Gandhi, Founder and President of Qualicent Analytics is also its Chief Data Scientist. With over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, he has worked with top semiconductor memory and logic fabs and has used data mining tools to successfully improve technical and productivity metrics as well as financial metrics. His previous responsibilities include Data Mining Consultant at Applied Materials, Vice President of Product Management at Santel Networks, and Section Head of Yield and Failure Analysis at Integrated Device Technology. He has a BS EE from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Ph.D EE from the Oregon Health and Sciences University. In 2014. Dr. Gandhi spoke on advanced analytics applications in four symposia/workshops including Semicon West, Automotive Electronics Council Workshop as well as Biosensors and Medical Electronics symposia. In 2015, Dr. Gandhi refined Qualicent’s predictive analytics algorithm and utilized it in an onsite evaluation at a top electronic manufacturer. Pitted against the world’s top analytics giants, Dr. Gandhi’s algorithms led to the most accurate prediction of back-end electrical failures from upstream Solder Paste Inspection process parameters. In 2016, Mr. Gandhi started leading the Qualicent Team as Principal Investigator of an NSF-funded project to further develop the Qualicent predictive analytics technology and bring it to commercialization.Click here for more information.
Aniruddha (Nana) Fadnis, Ph. D., VP System Architecture
Dr. Fadnis has over 18 years of experience in diverse areas of information technology. He has a solid foundation in analytical thinking and problem solving, computation, as wellAs scientific research. For the past 10 years Dr. Fadnis has worked hands-on, designing, building, and managing distributed/clustered, load-balanced, high-availability middleware infrastructure using various commercial as well as open-source technologies. Prior to that Dr. Fadnis spent many years in designing and developing complex business systems With a wide range of software platforms, databases, multiple programming languages and a variety of different user interfaces. Dr. Fadnis has worked in various Engineering and Management roles at Metlife, Brystol Myers and Thomson Reuters. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Indiana University, Bloomington IN and an M. Sc. Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai, India.
Drue Freeman , Advisor and CMO
Mr. Freeman is a 30 year veteran of the semiconductor industry. He advises and consults for technology companies ranging from early-stage start-ups to multi-billion dollar corporations and for financial institutions investigating the implications of the technological disruptions impacting the automotive industry. Drue is an Advisory Board Member at Savari, Inc., a leader in the Connected Car market, and airXsys, a computer-vision-based parking management system start-up. Previously, Drue served as Sr. Vice President of Global Automotive Sales & Marketing for NXP Semiconductors (2009 – 2015), gaining significant market share in the automotive semiconductor market. He has participated in numerous expert panels and spoken at various conferences on Intelligent Transportation Systems. Drue spent three years in Shanghai, establishing NXP as #1 in the China automotive market while launching and serving on the Board of Directors for Datang-NXP Semiconductors Co., Ltd., the first Chinese automotive semiconductor company. He served seven years at NXP’s Automotive Business in Germany, including four years as VP of Automotive Quality. He has also been based in Tokyo, with Philips and VLSI Technology and held positions in key account management, applications engineering, and development engineering for various companies in California. Drue is based in Cupertino, California, where he is working with the emerging Automotive Electronics and Connected-Car ecosystems. He is an Advisory Board Member of BWG Strategy LLC, an invite-only network for senior executives across technology, media and telecom, and a member of Sand Hill Angels, a group of successful Silicon Valley executives and accredited investors who are passionate about entrepreneurialism and the commercialization of disruptive technologies. His Venture Capital and Angel Investments are primarily in the automotive sector. Drue holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University and an MBA from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California.
Joy Gandhi Co-founder and VP Operations
Ms. Gandhi is the Co-founder responsible Operations and Marketing Communications at Qualicent Analytics. She has been in the semiconductor industry for more than 20 years. Her experience includes quality and reliability engineering and quality management. She has worked in both large and small companies such as Intel and Philips Semiconductor (NXP) as well start-up companies in the Silicon Valley. Ms. Gandhi was the California and West Coast Regional Director of Omnex, Inc. an international provider of engineering and management system consulting, training and software. She was lead Omnex consultant for Automotive APQP, Product, Customer and Supplier Quality for NVIDIA. At Qualicent, she led the product definition and managed the customer engagements for the ZeroDefectMiner® software. In 2015, Ms. Gandhi spoke at various events including the Automotive Electronics Council and the Automotive Industry Action Group. She also wrote or co-wrote articles in EETimes, MD+DI and Solid State Technology. Most recently she provided lead consulting services to corporations with leading edge technologies in aerospace, MEMS, networking and Lidar. David Villanueva VP Program Management
Mr. David Villanueva is VP of IT and Software Development. He has been in various engineering and management roles in the semiconductor industry for more than 20 years. Most recently he was Director of IT at Cortina Systems where he built the IT infrastructure at Cortina’s 6 domestic and offshore sites. He also spearheaded the company’s Oracle ERP and Agile Product Quality Management implementation. Prior to this he was VP of IT at ARC International where he led deployment of IT infrastructure including EDA tools, ERP and standardized software tools across all sites. Prior to ARC, he was Director of IT at Globespan Virata where he designed and deployed worldwide network infrastructure, compute farm, Oracle HR, Financial, Manufacturing and Supply Chain. At Qualicent, Mr. Villanueva performs the program management of the ZeroDefectMiner® software. Subhash Nariani Advisor, Business Bevelopment
Mr. Nariani is Qualicent’s senior adviser for business development. He has over 25 years of experience spanning various areas of semiconductor technology with a focus towards manufacturing, quality and reliability engineering. More recently he has held senior management roles in the field of software business development, SaaS (Software as a service) operations and customer service. Prior to that he was Director of Q&R at Cortina Systems where he played a key role in the merger of a $100M+ spin-out from Intel Corp. His work experience includes technology development at National Semiconductor and VLSI Technology (acquired by Philips), and Quality and Manufacturing Engineering at Volterra and Cortina. He has managed product quality as well as supplier quality for fabless startup companies. He has over 10 publications and 20 patents. Mr. Nariani holds a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University and a B.Tech. from IIT, Mumbai.
