Qualicent launches an innovative implementation package for implementing the automotive quality management standard IATF16949:2016 which was just released in early October 2016.The innovative package consists of a bootcamp that starts with understanding the company’s critical success factors such as business needs, key customer expectations, opportunities and risks . This is followed by a gap analysis, documentation and gap closure that leverages the IATF16949 standard’s core elements to address these factors. The end goal is to achieve conformance to the standard while boosting actual growth. 8/20/2016 Evidence-based, Data-driven Failure Modes and Effects Analysis Accelerator Package

Qualicent unveils a highly effective and efficient FMEA process that has been tested through iterations of practical implementations in semiconductors in the last 10 years. It focuses on evidence and data relevant to the product being designed. This approach accelerates the performance of this required core tool in the automotive industry while focusing on failure modes with high probability of occurring. This contrasts with the current practice of using a comprehensive analysis of semiconductor design functional blocks which have become very complex over the years. 2/17/2016 ZeroDefectMiner ® ‘s Big Wins

The ZeroDefectMiner composite distance algorithms have achieved the following key milestones in December 2015 and February 2016 respectively:
1. It was pitted against the top data analytics giants in a manufacturing evaluation and demonstrated the highest level of prediction accuracy with the lowest false positives for yield failure prediction.
2. It has yet again successfully predicted automotive field failures from various semiconductor data (PCM and Final Test). Todate the number of companies for which successful predictions have completed now involves 14 in the automotive and consumer supply chains. The companies include OEMs, tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 suppliers.
These milestones demonstrate very solid evidence of the software’s strength and robustness in various use cases that can lead to huge financial returns to companies in the automotive, medical devices, commercial and aerospace industries.

9/1/2015 ZeroDefectMiner®algorithm Successfully Resolves Tool Defectivity Issue in a Leading Edge Technology Fab

The ZeroDefectMiner® anomaly detection algorithm resolved a semiconductor equipment tool high defectivity issue through its application on tool sensor data. This development demonstrates the capabilities of the algorithm not just in the prediction and detection of product field failures but of its effectiveness in improving critical factory equipment metrics. The successful study illustrates the technique’s effectiveness for future IoT applications as well.

5/6/2015 ZeroDefectMiner® Addresses Alarming Rise in Automotive Electronics Safety Incidents

A new report based on public US NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) and carmaker public data shows a surge in 2014 in the number of recalls due to electrical/electronics in the car. The same report shows that the EWRs (Early Warning Reports) due to electrical/electronics in the automobile has also risen sharply in 2014. EWRs are field safety incidents involving injury or death that trigger investigations that may lead to recalls. The report was released by Stout, Risius and Ross in early 2015.
Qualicent’s ZeroDefectMiner® software is positioned to reduce these safety incidents through its ability to predict and screen potential field failures in manufacturing. Initial installation of the software algorithms in semiconductors/electronic manufacturing are in the final stages.

The The ZeroDefectMiner® distance analysis technique has successfully predicted field failures in leading carmakers in Europe and US. Applying the technique on silicon fab and electronic manufacturing data showed the field failures as distinct outliers on the software’s novel distance control chart whereas they passed spec limits in the production test. The data were from leading semiconductor suppliers (US and Europe) and electronic manufacturers in Asia.
